Chocolate Hazelnut Spread
Nutella the delicious Italian import made at home and better. Make your own homemade variety. Spread on crackers, bread or fruit or just eat with a teaspoon. Enjoy in moderation.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of hazelnuts, skins removed
- 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup hazelnut or coconut oil, plus more as needed
- 1 Tbs vanilla
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions:
- Grind hazelnuts in food processor until it starts to look like peanut butter, about 2-4 minutes.
- Add confectioners’ sugar, cocoa powder, oil, vanilla and salt. Process adding more oil 1 Tbs at a time until the mixture becomes smooth.
- Store in a mason jar for up to 6 weeks at room temperature.
Makes about 1 ½ cups.
Goes perfectly with homemade graham crackers!
