Mini chive biscuits
Use the recipe as is to create the perfect platform to build savory appetizers that will blow minds, or make some changes to be just right.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups of unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unbleached pastry flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 3 tbsp snipped fresh chives
- 1-1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- extra pinches of your favorite herb
- 1+ cup heavy cream
- parchment paper
Instructions:
For best results, combine all dry ingredients followed by the heavy cream and mix to a semi-sticky dough and refrigerate for a couple hours or overnight. But, if you’re in a hurry, combine to make dough and divide into equal parts to make forming easier. Roll out the dough to a rectangle about 3/4″ thick and use a chef’s knife or preferably a pizza cutter to cut the dough into strips, then squares about 1-1/2″. Place the squares spaced evenly on the parchment paper which is already on your baking sheet. Bake for 8-11 minutes at 425 degrees.

I used blackforest ham, Swiss cheese and a dab or lingonberry jam on these. They went fast.
