Smoked Brisket Bliss

There is no shortage of blogs and videos explaining the ins and outs of smoking meats and I watched quite a few when I built this smoker. For now I’m not going to expound on the smoker construction, but instead focus on the goodness that can be made. In the smoker pictured, I’ve made pork shoulder, turkey, venison, and beef brisket.

Ingredients:
  • Beef brisket
  • 1 Tb – Salt
  • 1 Tb –  Black Pepper
  • 1 Tb – Garlic powder
  • 1 Tb –  Onion powder
  • 1 tsp – Cayenne powder
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • Half bottle of Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce
Instructions:

Mix all of the following ingredients together and refrigerate overnight. Remove brisket and put into prepared smoker for 8-12 hours depending on weight and cut.
